Chad Kelly out vs. BC; Nick Arbuckle to start

TORONTO -- Chad Kelly will not play in the Toronto Argonauts' Week 18 contest against the BC Lions on Saturday afternoon.

Kelly was a non-participant and a limited participant in practice this week and was listed as questionable on the team's injury report as he deals with a right hand injury. He was officially added to the one-game injured list on Friday when the Argos released their depth chart.

Instead it will be Nick Arbuckle starting for the Double Blue as they host the BC Lions looking to defend their perfect home record (4-0).

Kelly has thrown for 5,067 yards, 33 touchdowns and 24 interceptions in 15 games so far this season. Arbuckle has been used mostly in short yardage situations in 2026, but did see playing action in Week 8 against the Lions when Kelly left the game with an injury. In the Argos win in BC that week, Arbuckle completed 13 of 20 passes for 134 yards.

Toronto hosts the Lions on Saturday afternoon at BMO Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET and can be watched on TSN, CTV and Crave in Canada and CFL+ in the U.S. or internationally.
