20 - SECOND-HALF POINTS
BC's second-half adjustments were enough for them to pull ahead and eventually defeat the Roughriders. Heading into halftime, the Lions were down 17-13.
The team went on to score 20 points and held Saskatchewan to just nine in the final 30 minutes, as the Leos punched their ticket to the Western Final next weekend.
2 - JEVON COTTOY TOUCHDOWNS
Jevon Cottoy played hero in the third quarter, bookending the frame with touchdowns.
Cottoy opened the quarter with a 70-yard catch-and-run, dashing past Rider defenders into the end zone. The Canadian pass-catcher's second touchdown of the game came near the end of the third. The 13-yard touchdown gave the Leos their first lead of the contest, one that they would never relinquish.
0 - ROUGHRIDERS PASSING TOUCHDOWNS
BC's defence did its job on Saturday afternoon, keeping the Saskatchewan Roughriders out of the end zone for most of the contest.
The unit allowed just one touchdown in the Western Semi-Final, a Tommy Stevens rushing major in the second quarter that was capped by a two-point convert to Samuel Emilus. Aside from that major, the Lions forced the Riders to finish their drives with field goals, as Brett Lauther made all six of his attempts. Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris did not throw a single passing touchdown in the game.
