3 PFF stats that stand out from Week 18

TORONTO -- Week 18 is in the books and there were plenty of standout performers.

From Tyson Philpot's historic night to Vernon Adams Jr. having an outstanding outing to rookie Mitchell Agude making an impact for Hamilton, here are three PFF stats and grades that stand out from the week that was.

TYSON PHILPOT | RECEIVER | MONTREAL ALOUETTES | 5 CONTESTED CATCHES

Tyson Philpot had a massive outing in Week 18. Not only did the Canadian pass-catcher break records, he had one of his best games of the season.

Philpot picked up a season-high 207 yards in Montreal's win over Winnipeg, his seventh game of the season with 120 receiving yards or more. The Als receiver made it look easy going head-to-head with defenders, leading the week in contested catches (five), according to PFF.

VERNON ADAMS JR. | QUARTERBACK | CALGARY STAMPEDERS | 85.9 PASSING GRADE

Vernon Adams Jr. had perhaps his best outing of the season in Week 18 as his Stampeders defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Adams Jr. completed 75.9 per cent of his passes (22-of-29) for 242 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He also had a 146.0 passer rating in the 37-31 win.

His performance last week earned him PFF's top passing grade (85.9) and the Stampeders now sit in the crossover spot down The Final Stretch.

MITCHELL AGUDE | DEFENSIVE LINEMAN | HAMILTON TIGER-CATS | 6 PRESSURES

Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive lineman Mitchell Agude was a constant presence in the REDBLACKS backfield in Week 18, tallying a week-high six pressures, according to PFF.

The first-year Ticat also tallied two tackles, and recovered a McLeod Bethel-Thompson fumble in the fourth quarter of the Ticats' win over Ottawa on Friday night.
