Week 15’s Forty Creek Quadruple Header delivered several surprises for fantasy users, but none as stunning as Argos receiver David Ungerer III topping all players in CFL Weekly Fantasy with 30.3 FP.

However, BC’s Nathan Rourke was the player to have in CFL Fantasy presented by theScore Bet.

Neither will appear in this week’s Start vs. Sit, although the Week 16 (!!!) edition will offer a surprise or two.

START

TYLER KAHMANN | RECEIVER | TORONTO ARGONAUTS

Touchdown Tyler hasn’t seen the end zone in the past two games, but Tyler Kahmann’s emergence as a complete receiver is a reason Argos fans can feel good about a Semi-Final bid. In his past three games, Kahmann has caught 21 of his 25 targets for 304 yards and two majors, embedding himself as a fantasy-attractive REC2 behind potential East Division All-CFL teammate Damonte Coxie.

Kahmann is also one of the league’s dependable second-down receivers, as 26 of his 61 receptions have resulted in conversions. With the Elks putting considerable focus on Coxie entering Saturday afternoon’s showdown, Kahmann is a strong must-start who will continue to be a strong option for CFL Fantasy users, especially with the fantasy playoffs looming.

VERNON ADAMS JR. | QUARTERBACK | CALGARY STAMPEDERS

The overall statistics are solid, yet Vernon Adams Jr. is in the midst of a slump dire enough to lead the Stampeders to replace him with Josh Love late in Saturday’s loss at Edmonton in the Battle of Alberta rematch. Despite having 25 passing touchdowns and a 111.1 rating, Adams Jr. has gone five straight games with fewer than 252 passing yards, with three of his last four starts resulting in fewer than 159 passing yards.

There’s not a quarterback controversy in Calgary, but fantasy users who have Adams Jr. and have the depth to start another pivot in this week’s three-game slate would be wise to take advantage of it. A sluggish outing against winless Ottawa could lead to Adams Jr. finding himself less desirable to fantasy users as the Stamps’ playoff hopes hang in limbo.

CFL WEEKLY FANTASY

START

KEELAN WHITE | RECEIVER | OTTAWA REDBLACKS

With just three games on the schedule, receiving options are limited. Still, Keelan White would have placed here regardless. The REDBLACKS’ winless season has seen few highlights, but White’s development into the team’s top receiver over the past month checks at least one positive box.

White has scored at least 10.2 Fantasy Points in eight straight games, topping 20+ three times. He may rank third in yardage behind Justin Hardy and Ayden Eberhardt, yet White has been the most consistent pass-catcher in Ottawa. In what could be a high-scoring affair at Calgary, White sits atop the must-start list when choosing REDBLACKS players.

SIT

TRE FORD | QUARTERBACK | HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

Tre Ford’s 24.8 Fantasy Point performance in Week 13 left many CFL Weekly Fantasy users excited about the upside of the talented pivot. Those aspirations were dashed in Week 14 when Ford managed just 12.6 FP before being replaced on OK Tire Labour Day Weekend by Harrison Frost. Even on a three-game schedule, Ford’s fantasy upside is risky at best, especially since the quarterback was limited in practice on Monday.

No one questions Ford’s fantasy potential as a runner (11 yards per carry). The inconsistent passing is a ceiling on his upside. Montreal’s defence has struggled in their recent 1-3 run, leaving the Alouettes somewhat vulnerable, but not enough to consider Ford as the starting pivot in your Week 16 lineup.
