Four weeks remain in the 2026 CFL regular season, leaving fantasy users scrambling to gather their teams for the final month of the campaign. The Week 18 edition of Start vs. Sit presents a blueprint for success as the weather cools.

BC pivot Nathan Rourke topped all Week 17 scorers in CFL Weekly Fantasy with 34.7 fantasy points, while Edmonton kicker Vincent Blanchard thrived for CFL Fantasy owners with his league-record nine field goals in the Elks' win over Hamilton.

For every start, there’s a sit, and the Week 18 edition -- as always -- delivers both.

DORIAN SINGER | RECEIVER | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

The Blue Bombers may have unearthed a future standout in Dorian Singer, who has become a vital part of the passing game. Singer recorded six catches for 113 yards in the Week 17 loss to Toronto and has scored majors in two of the three games he has played. Overall, Singer has 14 catches for 209 yards.

He and Dru Brown established a rapport in Week 17, and with Brown set to start at quarterback for the foreseeable future, Singer’s numbers should continue to improve. Nic Demski and Ontaria Wilson are entrenched as Winnipeg’s top two receivers, but Singer will be a good FLEX option when Winnipeg visits Montreal in a game where the Blue Bombers will likely be playing from behind.

KEVIN MITAL | RECEIVER | TORONTO ARGONAUTS

Kevin Mital ranks among league leaders with 70 receptions and 829 yards, yet his play has gone up and down after a strong start to the regular season. The lack of targets isn’t an issue, as Mital has 25 over the past three games. After solid outings in Week 15 and 16, Mital had 16 yards in Week 17, catching only two of seven targets.

Low yardage totals are a hindrance when starting Mital, who has exceeded 60 yards only twice since consecutive 100-yard games in Weeks 2 and 3. Makai Polk, who returned to the lineup in Week 17, will cut into his target share. Starting Mital against BC on Saturday is tempting, yet there’s too much risk.

VERNON ADAMS JR. | QUARTERBACK | CALGARY STAMPEDERS

Is VA back? On the one hand, Vernon Adams Jr. has recorded 779 passing yards and five majors in the past two games, looking like the pivot who torched secondaries for 19 touchdown passes in a five-game stretch earlier in the season. On the other hand, his last two games were against winless Ottawa, who lead the league in passing yards allowed per game.

Take a leap of faith in Adams Jr., who faces a Saskatchewan defence fresh off allowing 375 yards and four touchdowns to BC’s Nathan Rourke in Week 17. The Stamps still hold postseason aspirations, and with Dedrick Mills sidelined, the offence will focus on the passing game.

REDBLACKS RUNNING BACKS

Daniel Adeboboye’s brief run as Ottawa’s lead back ended in Week 17 when Mario Anderson cut into his workload. The recently signed Anderson scored a rushing major, although Adeboboye recorded 56 yards from scrimmage on six touches.

Anderson averaged 5.6 yards per carry in nine games with Saskatchewan and has more big-play potential than Adeboboye. The second-year pro has a chance to state his case for a possible 2027 roster spot with a strong close to the season, but it appears (for now) Anderson and Adeboboye will comprise a committee that won’t help fantasy users.
