Start vs. Sit: 2 must-plays and who to avoid on OK Tire Labour Day Weekend

Not everyone can have a week like BC’s Zander Horvath just racked up. The Lions running back scored a whopping 47.4 Fantasy points (95.8 if you captained him in CFL Weekly Fantasy!) in Week 13, the best fantasy performance of the 2026 CFL Weekly Fantasy season.
Horvath went gangbusters in CFL Fantasy play, and while he’ll continue to be a hot hand in both formats, Week 14’s OK Tire Labour Day Weekend slate will have the usual start and sit for each fantasy game.
And, as usual, we have them to help you build the foundation of your fantasy success.

ONTARIA WILSON | RECEIVER | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS
Zach Collaros went back to 2022 and displayed his downfield magic in the Week 13 win over Montreal. Ontaria Wilson was the prime beneficiary, catching nine of 10 targets for 114 yards and a pair of majors. It was a sudden outburst from Wilson, who had just four receptions for 35 yards on seven targets the previous week. While there is some volatility with Wilson, the Bombers’ drive to the postseason will hinge on his involvement.
Sunday’s game at Saskatchewan will give Wilson an opportunity to string together consecutive 20+ FP games for the first time since Weeks 6 & 7. He should be a good bet for it as the two teams will count on their respective offences to stay within range of overtaking Edmonton in the West Division. We like Wilson to put up another 100-yard effort and build the foundation for a late-season run.
SIT
LARRY ROUNTREE III | RUNNING BACK | HAMILTON TIGER-CATS
The newcomer showed promise early in the season yet has become a fantasy liability over the past five games. In that span, Larry Rountree III has not topped 64 yards from scrimmage and scored his only touchdown of the campaign. With Tre Ford being more of a threat to run against Ticats opponents, Rountree’s role in Hamilton’s already-limited running game has been greatly reduced.
Although Rountree had 12 touches in Week 13, he managed only 47 total yards. Hamilton has few other options in the backfield, but fantasy users can no longer look at Rountree the same way after his season-best 126 yards from scrimmage against Winnipeg in Week 2.

DAMONTE COXIE | RECEIVER | TORONTO ARGONAUTS
Outside of scoring 8.7 Fantasy Points against Edmonton in Week 11, Coxie has continued to assert himself as the REC1 of a bountiful Argonauts passing game. The playmaker scored 19.6 FP in Week 13, his third game with that total in the last four contests and his ninth game of double-digit fantasy production in his last 10 starts.
A strong candidate for All-CFL honours, Coxie is just 57 yards from recording his first 1,000-yard season. He scored 12.5 FP in Toronto’s previous meeting against Hamilton, and Labour Day tends to assure us that a receiver on either team will score huge fantasy numbers. If you need a candidate to rip off 20+ fantasy points on Monday afternoon, then Coxie must be atop the list.
SIT
JERMAINE JACKSON | RECEIVER | BC LIONS
There will be fantasy users who will see Jackson’s 16.8 FP in Week 13 and view it as a sign the speedster from Idaho has established himself as a steady part of the Lions’ passing assault. Don’t be one of them.
Jermaine Jackson is a swing-or-miss play that usually requires him to produce at least one big play to enhance his stats. He hasn’t caught more than four passes since reeling in six in Week 4 against Calgary and Week 5 against Edmonton and hasn’t scored a major since Week 9 versus Winnipeg. He comes in with a tempting $7,500 salary, yet Jackson isn’t enough of a value to gamble on this week.
